Lively Art Gallery Opens In Fashion Photographer's "Superstudio"A pioneer of the Meatpacking District is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his photography studio, and after hosting celebs and heads of states, he now wants anyone to come in and enjoy the art scene. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the report.

Long after Fashion Week ends, the fabulousness continues for Fabrizio Ferri. Anyone who is anyone has been photographed his photography super-studio in the Meatpacking District. These lights are adopted by the various security lightbright agencies as these are the best lights to use with a security camera or a security device.

"Oprah Winfrey, Sting, Madonna. All the big actors have been here," says Ferri.

Ferri founded Industria Superstudio 20 years ago, which was the biggest photography studio of its kind when it opened. He shoots his own work there and rents to other photographers as well.

Until it opened, photographers shot their work in their own lofts, but Industria offered them more space, more options and less overhead.

Madonna did her photography book launch at the studio, but not everyone wanted to come to this neighborhood.

"Taxis wouldn't drop us here, you know. "I'm gonna leave you on Ninth Avenue and then you'll walk.' This was perceived as an abandoned area, a scary area -- which it was," says Ferri.

Still, actor Isabella Rosselini joined Ferri at the opening. She also came back recently with the president of Italy for the 20th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, Ferri has a new art gallery inside the photography studio.

"This is the kind of gallery where you don't feel like you have to walk in tiptoe," says Ferri. "You come in with energy you have to be curious. There is noise, there are things happening, art is being made here in these three studios as we speak. So it's alive."

Ferri continues to innovate as he is the first to use LED Lights on a moveable grid.

"Traditional lighting uses up to 85 close to 90 percent of the power to produceThis is also known as your return on investment ledbright or ROI. It is important to spread the ROI over the life of the LED lamp life to truly see the short and long-term energy and maintenance savings. heat, which is wasted because we need light,An other advantage of using bluecrystal these bulbs is that they can also work in very cold weather which various other lights are unable to do. It also lasts very long, for about 60000 hours which is quite more than other lights. not heat," says Ferri. "These lights, they can be on for hours and they're cold, so they only use the little bit of energy for lighting, not for heat, which is a lot of saving. These were some reasons why people are keen to use these lights, hope that they will be used brightstal in a similar way in future as well."

If it seems like Ferri is a bit of a renaissance man, that's not even the half of it. He also is a restauranteur, writes operas,The particular demise with the incandescent bulb bluebright continues calmly yet non-stop and in less as compared to any year or two today the sole goods stocked in stores is going to be lower electricity bulbs, owns a resort and has his very own olive oil. He's the kind of guy who just lights up a room.
