Playground death probe shocker

Playground death probe shocker
The probe into the death of an 11-year-old boy who was electrocuted by a defective Batu Tiga playground lamp post has narrowed down to the contractor responsible for installing it.

Investigators, however, have one major problem: there is no record of who was appointed for the job!

Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) deputy president Abdullah Marjunid admitted to The Malay Mail: “We are in the dark. These are also used as art light as well, it is because crystal these lights did not emit any harmful rays and the bluish color of LED lights makes a painting look very different from others and makes them attractive for the viewers.

“We have been searching for the contractor’s details and it looks like they were never in our records all this while.”

The shocking revelation has outraged the victim’s family who is mulling legal action while the area’s current representative expressed concern if the mystery contractor has been given similar jobs else where in Subang Jaya.

Even the Energy Commission of Malaysia is looking for the contractor after its probe concluded the March 19 incident which took the life of Muhammad Naquiddin Mohd Marzuki was due to power leakage from a faulty underground cable joint.

It is learnt the commission’s investigation team was baffled to learn the council could not locate the contractor and had taken several files on the matter from the local authority. Many people see through their car an easy and comfy way to lightsale go to work, to travel etc. We are talking about transportation and nothing more. Facilities such as a good stereo sound system, climate control and a coffee mug holder are just some things to make driving life easier and much more fun.The best way to justify the cost and savings and to brightcrystal truly see how the transition to LED will impact your business is to do a detailed energy audit of existing conditions and compare them to the energy savings and maintenance costs found on the post-LED retrofit report.

And the mystery deepened because Abdullah said the contractor might not even have been appointed or monitored.

“We believe the contractor who installed the lamp post at Taman Batu Tiga may have been appointed by one of the previous MPSJ Zone 5 councillors. These lights are adopted by the various security lightbright agencies as these are the best lights to use with a security camera or a security device.”

Even more confusing is the possibility the playground could have been classified as being in Zone 6 some years ago, as it is learnt the lamp post there was erected in 2007.

Abdullah, however, assured the council was working closely with commission.

“MPSJ is also interested in helping them to conclude the probe.”

Meanwhile,The particular demise with the incandescent bulb bluebright continues calmly yet non-stop and in less as compared to any year or two today the sole goods stocked in stores is going to be lower electricity bulbs, Subang Jaya Zone 5 councillor Keshminder Singh expressed shock over the situation.

“How could it be such a mystery? MPSJ should have all records of works undertaken by contractors within their area, regardless of the geographical size, in all 24 zones under the council.”

He said it was puzzling the contractor's details were not in the records.

“There should be at least an invoice for payment to the contractor."

Keshminder also wondered why the contractor's background could not be traced.

"I am sure the engineering department of MPSJ would have been consulted before approval was given for the contractor to begin work at the playground.

“There’s got to be some sort of documents confirming the contractor met the minimum electrical installations safety standards in public places.”

Keshminder was concerned if the contractor had been responsible for other lamp posts or electrical installation works in Zone 5 and beyond.
