ConnectPlus to trail solar street lights in UK
Motorway maintenance consortium ConnectPlus has announced plans to undertake the UK’s first trial of grid-connected solar street lights in Hertfordshire.
The trial in South Mimms will see the installation of SunMast street lights, developed by Danish company Scotia.
The SunMast street light has a series of photovoltaic panels integrated into the body of the mast, which convert sunlight into electricity.led spotlight For example, there are some LED "candles" that charge the day and are ready for use at night.
