Geek Gear: Star Wars Shirt ‘Biker Scout Wannabe’

The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is the Star Wars-inspired “Biker Scout Wannabe.”

The tee, by artist Matt Dearden, went on sale at RIPT today, Sunday, December 12, 2010, at midnight CST, and will Air purifier continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it’s gone forever.

The t-shirt is available in men’s and women’s sizes in royal blue for $10 each. Kids sizes are $15 (Boys, Girls, and Toddler, all royal blue); Onesies are $18 (in light blue). You can also get the design on a Hoodie for $38 (in blue in Men/Unisex sizes).

The design pokes fun at the Imperial cfl bulbs Biker Scouts from Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi.

Here’s what the artist had to say about the design:

This design is a parody of the much ignored biker scout – I mean, not everyone can pass the imperial entrance exam right?

Dearden was the mind behind the women handbags Futurama “Hypnotoad” design, as well as the Battlestar Galactica/Muppets mashup “Frakking Awful.”

What do you think of this shirt design?

I want to ride a coin-operated scout trooper bike!
